Ani Privacy Policy

Ani.LLC ("Ani," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Ani mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

We collect your date of birth and/or age primarily to determine whether you meet the applicable minimum-age requirements for Ani and to help us provide age-appropriate access to the Services where required.

You should not submit sensitive personal information through public areas of Ani unless the feature specifically requires it.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use Ani, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address

  • Device type

  • Operating system

  • Device and application identifiers

  • App version

  • Language and regional settings

  • Usage information

  • Diagnostic information

2. User Content and Uploaded Images

Ani allows users to upload images and other content.

When you upload an image or other User Content, that content is stored and processed so that Ani can provide the functionality associated with your account.

Depending on your account and the feature through which you submit the content, User Content may be visible to other Ani users or publicly accessible.

You should carefully consider what you upload to Ani.

Do not upload:

  • Personal information belonging to another person without permission.

  • Content that violates another person's privacy.

  • Illegal content.

  • Content that infringes another person's intellectual property rights.

  • Content that violates Ani's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Store uploaded images.

4. Supabase

Ani uses Supabase to provide backend infrastructure for the Services.

Supabase is used for functions including:

  • Database storage

  • Account-related information

  • User profiles

  • User-generated content

  • Uploaded images and other files

  • Other information necessary to operate Ani

Information stored through Supabase may include information associated with your Ani account and content you submit to Ani.

5. Firebase

Ani uses Google Firebase for certain application services.

Firebase Analytics

Ani uses Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the application and to help us improve Ani.

Firebase Crashlytics

Ani uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes, bugs, and technical problems.

You can generally control push notification permissions through your device settings.

6. Information We Do Not Collect for Advertising

Ani does not currently display advertisements and does not sell personal information to advertisers.

Ani does not use your personal information to provide targeted advertising through the Services.

If our business model changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before implementing practices that require additional disclosures or consent.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Ani.

Your date of birth and age should not be displayed publicly unless a particular Ani feature explicitly allows you to choose to display such information.

Do not publish information that you do not want other users to see.

9. Push Notifications

Ani may send push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging.

Notifications may relate to:

  • Account activity

  • Social interactions

  • Comments or responses

  • New activity involving your content

  • Important service information

You can disable push notifications through your device settings where supported.

10. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Ani and for legitimate business, security, legal, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping purposes.

When information is no longer necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or otherwise de-identify it.

Information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or disaster-recovery systems before being permanently removed.

11. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Ani account and associated personal information through available account settings or by contacting us.

When you request deletion, we will process the request in accordance with applicable law.

Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with legal obligations.

  • Prevent fraud or abuse.

Information that other users have independently copied, saved, or shared may remain outside Ani's control.

We use third-party infrastructure providers, including Supabase and Firebase, to provide portions of the Services.

However, no internet transmission, cloud service, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Children's Privacy and Age Requirements

Ani is not intended for users who do not meet the minimum age required to use the Services.

The minimum age may vary depending on the user's location and applicable law.

We may collect a user's date of birth and/or age to determine whether the user meets applicable age requirements.

Supabase
Used for backend database and storage infrastructure.

Google Firebase
